There is a serious lack of devotion and imagination when the grooming highlights are Tokum and Schoolmarm compared to Heavenly/Brownlie and the Back Bowls/Mckonkie’s. This year Peak to Creek never once when before, twice a week. The Saddle used to be 100+ passes wide. In general the skier traffic is now like in an eastern resort and the conditions deteriorate fast and are icy because not enough acreage is groomed to support the lift capacity, not fun anymore and dangerous. Not to mention the quality now sucks and same for their food. Total Vail fail.

I had 4 days left on my Edge Card and then suddenly they closed everything towards the end of Jan 2021 due to COVID. There were no communication from them telling me that I have to request refund by certain date and naturally I thought they would give me credit for next year and won't just take my money. NOOOO!! I was told I missed the deadline and they won't do credit. What a cheap move for a "World Class Resort"....really shame on the management. Getting rich by stealing people's money in the day light!

The delays getting lifts open each day means the alpine area is rarely open. After a cold night and 10cm of snow it should not take until 1.30 pm to get Glacier or Harmony lifts operating. Your mountain management really detracts from the customer experience. I am surprised people are prepared to wait 45 minutes in a lift line at $200 a day-. I will not be back no matter how beautiful Whistler is. Measure your skiable minutes and you would rank extremely poorly.

Whistler is all about averages: if you put in enough days, then you'll get the powder payoff. Great terrain & amenities. Beware the deep powder day as thousands congregate from Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish, Vancouver, plus every visiting guest, creating upload lines snaking from Mountain Square to Village Square & beyond; upper village lines on Blackcomb snaking to the Valet parking at the Chateau; Creekside lines past the shops & onto London Lane & down the valley trail. If the high alpine doesn't open on a powder day, then prepare for long lines on the mid-mountain lifts. Many more people are "working from home" & for many that home is Whistler, BC.

Really poor ski experience. I have been skiing W-B for over 20 years and the management of the mountain has become terrible. Be aware that the bottom half of the mountain is basically unskiable due to low/poor snow and crushing lift lines at the base. The top/alpine lifts are where all the decent skiing is, however, these never open before 10.30 and many days don't open at all. There is zero communication as to when or if the lifts might open. I have had patrol tell me "everything will be open tomorrow" and the alpine did not open until noon. That leaves two lifts on Whistler and 3 on Blackcomb at mid mountain to handle the huge volume of skiers. Lift lines are crazy and the traffic on the ski runs is dangerous. Our last visit in April still saw huge lift lines. The lifts themselves are getting worn out and delays are normal. It took us 45 minutes for just the ride up the Whistler gondola, stopped six times on the way up! Overall, just a really bad skiing experience. Shame on you Vail resorts.

Epic fail. Beautiful scenery but this resort has headed into the toilet. Insane crowds, overworked staff who had no idea what was going on, long lines, limited terrain open and the food was bad for a high school cafeteria.
This is what happens when businesses care more about making money than delivering a good product. I feel for the staff who truly seemed to care and tried to redeem the mess they were handed this season.
Not worth your time and not worth 167.00 plus tax per day.

We've visited Whistler several times over the last 15 years. Having spent a month here this time around I won't hurry back. The overcrowded slopes, even mid week, are surprisingly bad. We've actually not even bothered at the weekends due to hour plus waits for chairs such as Garbanzo. The early closure times of Symphony with the only way out being a narrow trail is chaotic at best and dangerous at worst. Weather is unpredictable and I'm happy in most snow conditions but grooming has seen a significant decrease with some large mogul fields on even green slopes catching beginners unawares. When factoring in high accommodation costs and the crowds we will be going elsewhere. Vail Resorts do not care about anything other than packing as many people onto the mountain as possible for the least cost.
